1st Team Start The New Season On The Road
	The 1st team start their league campagin in the South East Combination on Sunday August 17th with an away game at Northampton Town. The following Sunday, August 24th will see The Town`s first home
game of the new season when newly promoted Tottenham Hotspur are the visitors to Stockwood Park. August`s fixtures are rounded off with an away match at Cambridge City on August 31st The full fixture programme for the opening games can be seen on the Fairgame website. Click here

Under 15 "Oranges" Win City Colts 7 A Side Tournament

The Under 15s entered two teams into the City Colts 7 A Side Tournament. The Orange half of the squad ended the day as tournament winners. Click here for a report and pictures of the days events

2008 Presentation Evening

Another season has now officially ended following our 11th Annual Presentation Evening. At what for us was a new venue, the Stopsley Working Mans Club, the evening was as ever a great success. Pictured above is the Senior Section of the club parading the County Cup which was won this past season. That was just one of six major trophies that we celebrated winning in the 2007/08 season. Jim Rees In RAAM 2008

For those who attend the pre season motivational talkgiven by Jim Rees last September will be aware of his exploits in the RAAM 2007 (Race Across America). Last year he completed the grueling 3000 mile journey in just over 12 days. He aims to beat that this year. Over the weekend Jim started this years event, and among his support team is Mike who has been assisting with training the Under 15 squads this year. 1st Team Move Across The Pyramid

South West Combination....To	The....South East Combination
As expected we have been moved across The Womens Football Pyramid. We bid farewell to the South West Combination, and to the M4 Motorway, as for the 2008/09 season we will be playing in the South East Combination. That will mean far less travelling as we play the following opposition. Bedford Town Belles, Cambridge City, Enfield Town, Gillingham, Lewes, Northampton Town, Norwich City, Rushden & Diamonds, Tottenham Hotspur, Welwyn Garden City and Whitehawk

Happy And Succesful Weekend In Wales

The Under 15s (above) and Under 14s (below) enjoyed a happy and succesful weekend in Wales. Both teams played two games, and remained undefeated. Under 15s Season Ends With A Flourish

With The Treble sewn up, all that was left for the Under 15s to do was to avoid defeat at Watford this evening, to complete an unbeaten season. It was never really in any doubt after two early goals set them on their way to an 8-1 victory

Double Delight On League Cup Final Day

By winning the League Cup final today The Under 15s (above) completed The Treble (League Championship, County Cup and League Cup) in was has been quite remarkable season for them. Their 5-2 win over Watford today was just the icing on the cake. Clare Howe stole the show somewhat with an unlikely first half hat-trick.
Not to be outdone The Under 14s (below) also won their League Cup Final. But they left it so very late, Maisie Wyatt scored an injury time winner as Tottenham Hotspur were beaten 2-1. They now go into their final league match at Q.P.R. on Thursday needing all three points to secure the League Championship. Q.P.R. need only to draw

Congratulations Gemma

Gemma Vale holds the Under 15 League Cup aloft after the 2004 League Cup Final win over Leyton Orient. She scored one of goals that day as The Town came from 2-0 down to win 3-2. Four years later and Gemma is now the mother of a baby girl born on Saturday May 10th 2008. We are pleased to announce that mother and baby are doing well. We are sure all club members wish her and her newly born daughter well

Under 14s Win Semi Final

It was a case of third time lucky as the Under 14s having lost twice against Garston in the league put matters right with a 1-0 win in the League Cup Semi Final today. They now face Tottenham Hotspur in next Sundays final. The Under 11s secured Runners Up spot in the League as they won 3-1 at Enfield Town. The ladies 1st team followed up their 6-3 midweek win at Q.P.R. with another six goal blitz on the road as they won 6-0 at Southampton.

Under 15s Clinch The League Championship

It was tense, it was eventful. But the Under 15s got then win they needed today to clinch the League Championship, as they won 1-0 at Hitchin Town. The Under 14s keep their Championship hopes alive with a 1-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur. The Under 16s also beat Tottenham Hotspur, with a 2-1 scoreline. But the Under 11s Under 12s both lose. The Ladies also lose out, going down 1-0 at Plymouth Argyle

1st Team Complete County Cup Clean Sweep
Ladies Defeat Bedford Town Bells 5-1 In Womens Final

As manager Dave Baker said at the final whistle "the real Luton Town turned up this evening" And how they did too. Three goals in the first half hour, by Bex Kane, a Micky Taylor penalty and Amy Summerfield set The Town on their way. Ali Hayes pulled one back for Bedford just before half time. Although they totally dominated the second half it was not until the final ten minutes that super sub Laura Day added a brace for The Town to put the icing on what was a very sweet cake. That completes a clean sweep in County Cup competitions following the Under 15s and Under 16s earlier success`s. The cup is in safe hands (above) with keeper Nikki Duncan apparently looking after it. Whilst we are happy with our success this evening, our thoughts also go out to Bedford`s Lesley Ann Seaman who was taken to hospital with what looked like a serious injury. We wish her well. League Cup Joy...................And Despair

There was mixed feelings in todays HCGFL League Cup action. The Under 15s are through to the final after a nerve jangling 4-3 win at Cambridge City. They will meet Watford in the final, after Watford defeated the Under 15 Hatters 2-1. It was bad news too for the Under 16s who lost their semi final on penalties at Watford after the game had ended at 1-1. But it was joy for the Under 14s as they scored two late goals to come from behind to win 2-1 in their quarter final tie v Q.P.R.. They now meet Garston in the semi final

History Is Made With A County Cup Double
It has been long overdue, but at last Luton Town Ladies have tasted County Cup success. And like Alan`s London busses you wait ages for one, and then two arrive one after the other

The Under 15s were first up, as they completed what we hope could be the first part of a unique trebele of a County Cup, as well as The League Championship And League Cup. They scored twice in the first half, and added a third on the stroke of full time to defeat Bedford FC 3-0

The Under 16s completed a double County Cup winning day as they scored three second half goals to also defeat their Bedford FC counterparts 3-0 .

Under 15s Hit The 100 Goal Mark

The Under 15s took another positive step in their bid to win the League Championship with a 7-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur. The fifth goal of the game (above) was their 100th league goal of the season. The Under 11s (below) and the Under 14s keep their hopes of Championship success alive with 5-0 wins over Garston and Fairlands respectively

Under 14s keep their championship hopes alive with a 2-1 win at Tottenham Hotspur. Ladies Reserves earn vital points in double header at Kent Magpies. Under 15s win again, 4-0 at Harvesters. Last minute goals mean defeats for Under 13s and Ladies first team. Under 12s have the blues as they lose 2-0 against Cambridge City

Under 12s Show True Grit To Earn A Valuable Draw

The Under 12s gain a valuable point in a 1-1 draw at Denham United in their fight to avoid relegation. The Under 11s keep their championship hopes alive as they win at Denham United. The Under 14s come away with the points as they win 2-1 at Enfield Town. The Under 15`s bandwagon rolls on as they get double figures against Spurs Blues. The Under 16s earn an impressive 4-1 win at Q.P.R. The ladies first team put a dent in AFC Bournemouth`s promotion hopes after a 1-1 draw at Stockwood. The reserves lose out, and their fight to avoid relegation looks like going right to the wire

So Near For The Hatters

The Under 15 "Hatters"(above)continue to show their recent improvement, but suffered a narrow 2-1 defeat against Tottenham Hotspur "A". The Under 14s hit double figures as do the Under 15s.The Under 11s win at Garston, the Under 11 "Hatters lose by the only goal at St Albans. An injury hit 1st team lose in "unfortunate" circumstances at Swindon Town. The Reserves win a vital match against Brentford, as their fight to avoid relegation continues.

County Cup Latest

In The Junior Girls County Cup Semi Finals today, the Under 15s won the "in house game" against the Under 14s 4-0. Click here for a picture gallery from the game. In the other Semi Final the Under 15 "Hatters lost 2-0 against Bedford FC. The Under 16s who won their Semi Final last week will also face their Bedford FC counterparts in The Senior Girls Final. Bedford today overcame Crawley Green 2-0. The Ladies 1st team will face Bedford FC Reserves at home in The Womens County Cup Semi Final on February 17th.Kick Off for that game will be at 1.30pm. Date and tmes for the Girls County Cup Finals will be announced soon. It is likely they will be played on the same day

Our Sunday Best

All of our youth teams that played today recorded victories. The Under 12s and Under 14s both defeated their St Albans City counterparts. The Under 13s hit Stevenage Borough for six. The Under 15s remain unbeaten after they won at Hampstead. The Under 15 "Hatters" (above) won a five goal thriller against Tottenham Hotspur Blues.

Under 16s Are Through To County Cup Final

The Under 16s are through to the Bedfordshire County Senior Girls Cup Final after beating Leighton United 6-0 in the Semi Final today. The Junior Girls Semi Finals are due to be played next Saturday. Already we assured of one team in the Final as our Under 14s play our Under 15s "A" in one of the Semi Finals. It could be an "All Luton" final if the Under 15 "Hatters" can overcome Bedford Ladies in the other Semi Final

Over 5,000 Luton supporters made the trip to Lverpool for the game on Tuesday evening. Included in that number was several members of our Ladies team showing a united front in these troubled times for Luton Town FC

Laura`s Hat-trick Wins The Day

Laura Day came off the substitutes bench midway through the second half this afternoon. Within 20 minutes she had netted a hat-trick as the Ladies First Team won 4-0 against Forest Green Rovers

1st Team In Record Away Win

Michelle Byrne was amongst the goalscorers today as the 1st team recorded their biggest ever away win as they won 10-1 at Frome Town. But they were outdone by the Under 13s who scored a team record 11-0 win over St Albans City. Rachel Kosky scoring seven of those goals. The Under 15s win their top of the table clash with Cambridge City 5-2. Leanne Lizaitis and Stephanie Anes both score twice.

Under 14s Are Going Underground

Back in March 1980 a rock group called The Jam had their first number one single with a number called "Going Underground." Exactly two years later they had their second number one hit with "A Town Called Malice". Appropriate then that today a football team from "A Town Called Malice" (Luton) were "Going Underground" (At Oxford Circus) to sing Christmas Carols and Christmas Songs as a fund raising exercise. Website Season 2007/08
There will be several changes to this seasons website. Slightly different layout, that being a lot more simplified. The main reason is that less time will be spent working on the website, due to the website editor having a lot more other committments. Team managers are requested to submitt match reports no later than 24 hours after their matches, otherwise they may not be posted. Under normal circumstances it is unlikely that any work will bel carried out on the website after Monday evenings
