Under 15s At MK City Colts 7 A SideTournament
Report
The Under 15s entered two teams into the City Colts 7 A Side Tournament. The squads were as follows
"Oranges" Clare, Helen, Jade, Jess, Kellie, Lauren, Meggie, Steff, Steff
" Whites" Candice, Chloe, Kate, Leyah, Lozza, Nicola, Robyn, Serena, Siobhan, Tia

Group A "Whites"
Luton Town"Whites" 3 - Parklands 0
Three goals in the last three minutes. Candice (2) and an own goal
Luton Town "Whites" 2 - City Colts "A" 1
1-0 down after 20 seconds, and we kicked off !!!. Tia makes two good saves, before Candice levels the score with a header from Nics long throw. Nic, then nicks it with a last minute goal.
Luton Town "Whites" 0 - Kingsthorpe 0
Stalemate as both defences were always on top
Luton Town "Whites" 1 - Heelands 0
Tia pulls off a good save in the opening few seconds, another slow start. Town then win it when Chloe splits the defence open with a great pass to Candice who could not miss.
Luton Town "Whites" 1 - Baldock Town 1
Town were already qualified for the semi final, but needed to win the game to top the group and avoid a potential semi final meeting with "Oranges". Looks good when Robyn scores to make the score 1-0. Then Baldock equalise with a penalty. Last minute and Town are awarded a penalty. Oh dear missed it, but Oranges look like finishing second in their group, so we should avoid each other, but.....................................

Group B "Oranges"
Luton Town "Oranges" 0 - Brixworth 0
A slow start as both teams fail to trouble the oppositions goalkeeper. Brixworth appear to be the happier of the two teams at the final whistle. She who laughs last though etc.
Luton Town "Oranges" 2 - City Colts "B" 0
Clare scores almost straight from the kick off. Steff scores a second. Colts never really looked a threat.
Luton Town "Oranges" 2 - Tottenham Hotspur 0
Familiar opposition, but no real problem. Steff scores the first goal, and Jess scores her first goal in Luton colours. Spurs gain consolation later in the day as they win "The Plate" competition
Luton Town "Oranges" 1 - Flitwick Eagles 0
More familiar opposition. Tournament games between the two clubs are always tight affairs. This game was no different, but Steff`s goal was enough to book a place in the semi final with a game to spare.
Luton Town "Oranges" 1 - Kew Park Rangers 0
Both teams have already qualified for the Semi Final, but Town must win the game to top the group. The London based opponents look a useful team. The "Whites" finish their game against Baldock, it is level at 1-1 so they finish second. Oranges do not look like scoring against Kew, so a draw will keep the two Luton teams apart in the semi. But no, Clare scores with virtually the last kick of the game, and that sets up an all Luton semi. Any talk of match fixing were obviously unfounded..

Semi Final
Luton Town "Oranges" 1 - Luton Town "Whites" 0
If you did not know better then this could have been mistaken as a training game. Both teams held back and there was no real "physical stuff" Two minutes from time Jade played a ball across the goal and Clare knocked the ball into the net. The only real clear cut chance in the game. Did "Big Al" outfox "The Special One" ? Well who knows.

Final
Luton Town "Oranges" 2 - Kew Park Rangers 0
Kew won the other Semi Final against Kingsthorpe, and brought about a second meeting with the Londoners. The game was as good as won in the first two minutes. In the first minute Clare chased a lost cause and managed to pull the ball back across the goal to give Steff a tap in. Sixty seconds later it was role reversal as Steff set up Clare. It could have been more as Kellie and Jess both went close.
So "Oranges" won the tournament, playing 7 games, winning 6, drawing 1. Scored 9 goals, and did not concede a single goal. Clare scored 4 goals, Steff also scored 4 and Jess scored the other goal
